The Organic Hot Dog Connoisseur
Deb's thoughts: I started with an elaborate drawing that included shading and a moving composition. Then the drawing was simplified and sectioned to focus in on the elements that bring out the personality; the droopy eyes, the turn of the ears.
The next step was to introduce the paint colors. The goal was to continually adjust the layering of the color palette, adding shadows and highlights until the art looked unified and exciting.
The sixties style eye glasses were added for the element of time and a nod to Woodstockâ¦all to heighten the cool factor. The final step is to make sure the contrast is high and the colors pop to pull you in from across the room.
This painting is sold with a black wood frame as shown.
All artwork is finished with museum quality varnish and ships ready to hang.
