Clematis
Deb's Thoughts: I planted my first Clematis vine two summers ago and after one and a half years of bare sticks, I thought it was dead. Just when I decided to pull it out, it had a growth spurt to six times the original size. Surprised and delighted, I thought about some life events that had doom and gloom written all over them but somehow turned out okay. The idea of staying hopeful and even thriving when all seems lost is the inspiration behind this periwinkle, botanical delight.
