Seventeen Peonies
Deb's thoughts: This canvas is oriented horizontally which makes it twice as wide as it is tall. As I started painting, I had this strong feeling to fill the painting, edge to edge with peonies. That's where I came up with seventeen. You can never have too many peonies!
